Usage

Jorveza (Budesonide Orodispersible tablets) is a prescription medication used to treat eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) in adults older than 18 years of age. Eosinophilic esophagitis is a chronic disease of the esophagus. The active substance in Jorveza is budesonide. It is a corticosteroid that works by targeting (receptors) on immune cells and reducing the release of substances that lead to inflammation. Budesonide Orodispersible tablets are a new formulation of budesonide that can be dissolved in the mouth and slowly swallowed.

There may be a drug interaction between Jorveza and other medications, especially CYP3A4 inhibitors (ketoconazole or itraconazole), clarithromycin, ritonavir and cobicistat, oestrogen, cardiac glycosides, and diuretics. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
