Usage

Vocabria (Cabotegravir Sodium) is a prescription medication that is used in combination with another HIV medication called Edurant for short term treatment of HIV-1 infection in adults to replace their recurrent HIV-1 medications. Vocabria and Edurant are used without any other antiviral medicines to treat HIV. Cabotegravir belongs to the class of medications called HIV integrase inhibitors. This medication works by decreasing the amount of HIV in the blood. Vocabria does not cure HIV, it may decrease your chance of developing AIDS and HIV related illnesses such as serious infections and cancer.

Side Effects and Precautions

The common side effects of Vocabria may include abnormal dreams, feeling anxious, headache, nausea, and sleep problems.

Call your doctor right away if you have:
• Symptoms of liver problems;
• Suicidal thoughts or actions;
• Unusual mood changes (feeling sad, hopeless, anxious, or restless)

Stop taking Vocabria and call your doctor right away if you have a skin rash or any of the following side effects:

• Extreme tiredness, not feeling well, fever;

Warnings and Interactions
