Nexlizet Information

Nexlizet Details (Brand and Generic)

CanadaPharmacyOnline.com currently offers the brand Nexlizet from the United Kingdom also called Nustendi manufactured by Daiichi Sankyo. The generic version is not available. Our customers may also purchase other Cholesterol Medications such as Lipitor.

Dosage

Nexlizet is available in the strength of 180 mg/10 mg tablets only

Usage

Nexlizet (Bempedoic Acid/Ezetimibe) is a prescription medication used with diet or other cholesterol-lowering agents to reduce Low-Density Lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol in the adult with heart disease and heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HeFH). The active ingredients in Nexlizet are Bempedoic Acid and Ezetimibe. Bempedoic acid belongs to a group of drugs called adenosine triphosphate-citrate lyase inhibitors. Ezetimibe belongs to a group of drugs called cholesterol absorption inhibitors. Nexlizet works by decreasing the amount of cholesterol your liver makes and by preventing your small intestine from absorbing cholesterol.

Side Effects and Precautions

The common side effects of Nexlizet are upper respiratory tract infection, constipation (abdominal pain), muscle spasm, diarrhea, cough, chest tightness, back pain, and joint pain (pain in your shoulder, arms, or legs)

Stop using Nexlizet and contact your doctor right away if you have any of the serious side effects such as:
• Dizziness or sudden fall;
• Difficulty moving your joints (joint stiffness);
• Fast heartbeat or pounding in your chest;
• Severe itching;
• Severe joints pain;
• Swelling of your face, lips, mouth, or tongue;
• Trouble breathing;
• Wheezing

Warnings and Interactions

You should not take Nexlizet if you are allergic to ezetimibe tablets. Ezetimibe, one of the active ingredients in Nexlizet, can cause serious allergic reactions such as anaphylaxis, angioedema, rash, and urticaria. It would be best if you took Nexlizet tablets precisely the way your doctor prescribed. Tendon damage may occur during treatment with this medication. Stop exercising, rest, and get medical help right away if you develop pain or swelling joint, tendon, or muscle pain.

Before you start using Nexlizet, inform your doctor about your medical history, especially if you have:
• Gout;
• Kidney problems;
• Moderate or severe liver problems;
• Pregnant or breastfeeding;
• Tendon problems

Tell your doctor about all the medications you use, including prescriptions, over-the-counter medications, herbal products, and vitamin supplements. Tell your healthcare provider right away if you become pregnant or plan to get pregnant while taking Nexlizet tablets. You and your healthcare provider will decide if you should take Nexlizet while pregnant. It is not known if Nexlizet passes into your breast milk. You and your healthcare provider should decide if you will take Nexlizet or breastfeed. You should not do both. There may be a drug interaction between Nexlizet and other drugs such as fibrates (such as fenofibrate, clofibrate, gemfibrozil), cholestyramine, cyclosporine, simvastatin, and pravastatin.
