Usage

Seysara (Sarecycline Hydrochloride) is a prescription acne medicine used to treat certain types of acne in adults and children over the age of 9 years old. The active ingredient in Seysara is Sarecycline Hydrochloride. Sarecycline Hydrochloride belongs to the class of medications called tetracycline antibiotics. It works by killing the bacteria that infects pores and decreasing a certain natural oily substance that causes acne.

The common side effects of Seysara are nausea, vomiting, changes in appetite, abdominal pain, and muscle pain.

Stop using Seysara and contact your doctor right away if you have any of the serious side effects such as:

• A spinning sensation;

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant. Taking Seysara tablet during the last half of pregnancy can cause permanent tooth discoloration later in the baby's life. Sarecycline can pass into breast milk and affect bone and tooth development in a nursing infant. Do not breastfeed while you are taking sarecycline. There may be a drug interaction between Seysara and other drugs, such as antacids containing magnesium, aluminum, or calcium, laxatives containing magnesium, penicillin and iron, and isotretinoin.
