Questions and Answers

1. I have an inflammatory autoimmune disease. Is there any concern about taking Inflectra?
Answer: Inflectra has been known to cause a rare type of lymphoma (cancer) of the liver, spleen, and bone marrow. This type of cancer can be fatal and occurs mainly in teens and young men with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis. Talk to your doctor about the risks.

2. What should I avoid while taking Inflectra?
Answer: Avoid any activity that increases your chance for bleeding, as well as having any “live” vaccines while using Inflectra. Talk to your doctor about which vaccines you should avoid.

3. What should I do if I notice signs of infection while on Inflectra?
Answer: Because Inflectra affects your immune system, it may make you more prone to infections. This includes fatal ones. If you notice any signs of infection, it’s best to see your doctor right away.
