Endometrin Information: Endometrin (Generic name: Progesterone Vaginal Insert) is a prescription medication used in fertility treatment for women with low levels of natural progesterone as part of an Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) treatment. Endometrin is a vaginal insert containing progesterone 100 mg. Progesterone is a female hormone important for the regulation ovulation and menstruation. It helps women become and stay pregnant. Progesterone causes changes in the lining of the uterus, making it easier for a fertilized egg to attach to the uterus at the beginning of pregnancy. Use Estradiol vaginal tablets exactly as it was prescribed for you.
Endometrin Side Effects: The most common Endometrin side effects are breast tenderness, constipation, diarrhea, drowsiness, headache, nausea, stomach cramps, tiredness, vaginal discomfort, vomiting, and etc. If you are experiencing any severe side effects such as breast lumps, chest pain, depression, fever, jaundice, numbness, vaginal bleeding, and serious allergic reaction (e.g., difficult breathing; hives; rash; swelling), please inform your doctor immediately.
Endometrin Precautions: Endometrin is for vaginal use ONLY. Do NOT use Endometrin vaginal suppositories if you are allergic to Progesterone or any of the ingredients in Endometrin suppositories. Before using Endometrin vaginal, tell your doctor if you have had any medical conditions such as an abnormal pregnancy or loss of pregnancy, asthma, blood clots, breast or hormonal-related cancer, depression, diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol or triglycerides, liver disease, migraines, seizures, unusual vaginal bleeding and etc. Tell your doctor about all the prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medications you use. They may interact with Endometrin drug.
