Qualaquin Details (Brand and Generic)

Our Canadian pharmacy offers Qualaquin at very competitive prices. We currently have the brand Qualaquin also known as Odan-Quinine from Canada manufactured by Odan. The generic Qualaquin comes from Canada and the United Kingdom by different manufacturers. For additional information on how to order or to purchase Plaquenil Canada, call us at 1866-920-3784.

Dosage

Qualaquin and the generic Quinine is sold in the strength of 200 mg and 300 mg tablets and capsules.

Usage

Qualaquin (Quinine Sulfate) is a prescription medication used to treat uncomplicated malaria, a disease caused by parasites. This medication is also used by older patients for leg cramps. Malaria parasites can enter the body through mosquito bites, and then live in body tissues such as red blood cells or the liver. For leg cramps, Quinine helps by decreasing the excitability of the motor end-plate and increases the muscle refractory period. Quinine belongs to a class of drugs known as antimalarials. It works by attacking the parasites once they have entered the red blood cells. This medication kills the parasites and prevents them from multiplying further. Quinine Sulfate does not prevent malaria. This medication should NOT be used for the treatment of severe or complicated malaria. Our Canadian Pharmacy also sells other brand and generic affordable medications such as Aralen Canada.

Precautions and Interactions

You should not take Qualaquin if you are allergic to Quinine Sulfate or if you have:
• A certain eye nerve problem (optic neuritis);
• A certain nerve/muscle disease (myasthenia gravis)
• A genetic enzyme deficiency;
• A heart rhythm problem;
• Kidney or liver disease;
• Severe bleeding or blood cell disorder

Before you start taking this medication, talk to your doctor about your medical history including:
• Heart disease;
• Kidney or liver disease;

• Low potassium levels in your blood

Before you start taking this medication, talk to your doctor about your medical history and about all the medications you take including prescription, OTC and herbal medications especially: antacids, medicines for heart disease, and other anti-malaria medications. This medication may make you dizzy or blur your vision. You should not drive, use machinery or do any activity that requires you to be alert. Limit alcoholic beverages. Talk to your doctor if you are using marijuana. This medication should not be used during pregnancy unless it is instructed by a physician or specialist. Talk to your doctor because untreated malaria can harm both a pregnant woman and her unborn baby. This medication passes into breast milk but is unlikely to harm a nursing infant.
