Usage

Renedil (Felodipine) is a prescription medicine used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). The active ingredient in Renedil is Felodipine. Felodipine belongs to a group of medications called calcium channel blockers. It works by blocking the calcium channel which effectively relaxes and widens blood vessels so blood can flow more easily and reduces workload on the heart. Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, kidney problems, and sudden cardiac death.

The common side effects of Renedil are nausea, vomiting, dizziness, lightheadedness, headache, flushing, and tachycardia.

• Kidney problems;
• Liver problems

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant. Renedil can harm the unborn baby if it is taken during pregnancy. Felodipine should not be taken by women who are breastfeeding. There may be a drug interaction between Renedil and other drugs such as dantrolene and itraconazole.
