Atrovent Nasal Spray Information:
Atrovent (Ipratropium) is manufactured by Boehringer.
Atrovent Nasal Spray (Ipratropium) is an anticholinergic used to treat a runny nose caused by allergies or a cold. Atrovent Nasal Spray comes in two strengths. Atrovent Nasal Spray (Ipratropium) is used in the nose. Atrovent Nasal Spray (Ipratropium) comes with a patient information leaflet. Read it carefully. Ask your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist any questions that you may have about this medicine. Pump the Atrovent Nasal Spray (Ipratropium) sprayer three to five times before using each new container. This helps to prime the container. To pump the sprayer, hold the bottle with your thumb at the base and your index and middle fingers on the white shoulder area and press your thumb firmly and quickly against the bottle. If you do not use Atrovent Nasal Spray (Ipratropium) for more than 24 hours, the sprayer may need to be pumped twice before using it again. If you do not use Atrovent Nasal Spray (Ipratropium) for more than 7 days, the sprayer may need to be pumped or primed another three to five times again before use. TO USE Atrovent Nasal Spray (Ipratropium), blow your nose to clear your nostrils. Close 1 nostril with your finger against the side of the nose. Insert the nasal tip into the other nostril and point the tip toward the back and outer side of the nose. Pump the sprayer into your nose, sniff deeply, breathe out through your mouth, and remove the spray bottle from your nose. STORE Atrovent Nasal Spray (Ipratropium) at room temperature, away from heat and light. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF Atrovent Nasal Spray (Ipratropium), use it as soon as possible. Take the rest of your doses for the day at evenly spaced intervals. Do NOT use 2 doses of Atrovent Nasal Spray (Ipratropium) at once.
Atrovent Nasal Spray Side Effects:
Atrovent Nasal Spray SIDE EFFECTS, that may go away during treatment, include headache, dry nose, or nose irritation. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience nosebleeds, blurred vision, eye pain, or trouble urinating. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
