Drug Safety
Americans pay the highest prices for prescription drugs of
all nations in the world. Millions of Americans either have inadequate
prescription health benefits, or worse - no health insurance. For more
than two decades, American consumers have been crossing the borders to
Canada in search of low cost
prescription drugs. Through licensed Canadian pharmacies, such as
Medisave.ca, American consumers have been able to obtain discounted
prices on medications from their neighboring
country.
With an aging population and an ever increasing cost for
prescription medications, individuals, corporations, and politicians are
looking to Canadian pharmacies for lower cost prescription medications.
The increased growth and popularity of internet usage combined with the
promotion of safe and affordable medications over the internet, has made
it easier than ever for individuals to order prescriptions from Canada
without having to leave their homes.
Since drug companies have refused to supply Canadian
Pharmacies that sell to Americans, organizations such as ours, Medisave.ca, have resorted to filling orders through licensed pharmacies
internationally.
Medisave.ca takes great care in ensuring that we are providing
medication of the highest quality to our patients and we ensure the
operations we deal with internationally meet these criteria as
well.
Critics say that drugs sold in
Canada are safe as those sold in the
U.S. The same drugs are
considerably cheaper than they are in the
U.S. Those
critics accuse drug companies of spreading fear about counterfeit drugs to
keep Americans paying high prices at
home.
Medisave.ca is certified by CIPA, The Canadian International Pharmacy
Association, which represents and enforces the ethical and professional
practice of International Pharmacy, and ensures that the highest standards
of practice are carried out by its members. Pharmacy Checker is another
certification for Medisave.ca. Pharmacy Checker is an organization that evaluates, and
reports credentials, prices, and customer feedback regarding pharmacies
that operate online and through mail-order and fax.
In
addition to the above certifications, you can take comfort in knowing the
following:
* Our pharmacy is provincially licensed and this
information is available for our customers to see on our home page
*
You can find our physical address in
Canada
on our home and contact us pages to assure you that we are not operating
a fraudulent business. You can also contact our toll-free numbers to
verify all of our information before placing your orders
* We will not fill prescription orders unless a
prescription from a licensed physician is provided, further showing our
commitment to your safety (it would be unethical to deliver prescription
medications without a prescription from a licensed physician)
* We carefully ask for your medical history
information including allergies, to ensure no conflicts when sending out
your medications * Licensed pharmacists review all patient medical
data, who then refer to Canadian licensed doctors for a second opinion
* We carry only manufacturer's sealed bottles on
our pharmacy shelves *
We have implemented new shipping standards from
Canada
and Internationally ensuring safer delivery
All our international pharmacies have been visited and we can
ensure you that they meet our standards of care and are all licensed
pharmacies.

Summer Health Care
It is
that time of the year again when relaxation and recreation begins and the
long days of the season are taken full advantage of. In summer, health
becomes a treasure trove. The hot weather and the burning heat calls for a
heat prevention plan. As the summer season starts, so do dehydration and
heat-related illnesses.
According to the National Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention, about 400 Americans die every year of heat related illnesses
that were all preventable if only the people knew more about them.
The most
likely people to get ill during the summer are children, elderly people,
outdoor workers, athletes and exercisers. And all it takes to prevent
getting ill is to know more about your body's need for fluid
intake.
Following are some tips to stay healthy this
summer:
Take
care of your skin:
* Wear light colored, loose fitting clothes, they absorb
less heat and don't wear you down. * Put on appropriate shoes when going out for a walk
* Use sunglasses, hats and umbrellas as much as possible
when outside in the sun to protect your self from its heat and UV rays.
* A good sun screen always helps to fight sunburns. Use a
sun screen with an SPF (Sun Protection factor) of 15 or higher.
Avoid
Dehydration:
* Always drink plenty of water and other liquid fluids
like sports beverages. * Infants and toddlers are easily dehydrated therefore
give them plenty of fluids. * Avoid drinking very cold water as it will cause stomach
cramps. * There is no harm in keeping water bottles with you as
they will help you fight dehydration. * Reduce exercise and avoid the hottest hours of the day
that are between 10 a.m. till 4 p.m.
Eat
and drink healthy.
* Eat plenty of vegetables, carbohydrates and fruits.
* Avoid drinks containing caffeine, sugar and alcohol
because they cause dehydration. * Drink moderately and don't drive while drunk.
* When exercising, drink two to four glasses of cool
fluids each hour. * Sports beverages can replace salt and minerals lost
through sweating
Beat
that heat.
* Give yourself a break every now and then without pushing
yourself to the limits. * Remember that your body needs that well deserved rest in
the shade. * If the temperature is in the high 90's don't rely on
electric fans to cool the body alone. * Taking a cold shower and moving to an air-conditioned
place will definitely help.
Don't
forget your medication.
* It is suggested that on hotter days asthma patients or
people with respiratory disorders avoid going out in the sun as much as
possible. * Before planning to go out they must check with the daily
air quality report and always take their medication with them.
* Before leaving for vacation pack a few items (calamine
lotion, baking soda) that will help with itchy or painful insect bites.
* Allergy patients planning to travel or taking a vacation
should find out about the plants that will be pollinating at the
vacation spot. * It is always better to prevent than cure the
ailment.

What you had to say
"We did not enroll in Medicare Part
D as we found it too confusing. There were too many companies to compare
and we were not able to make a decision. Therefore, we decided to continue
to order from Medisave.ca. We are happy with the service and the prices
are good. We hope to continue ordering our meds from you as long as it is
advantageous for us to do so. Keep up the good service!" MB
"Thank
you so much for having reasonable prices for medication. I will always be
grateful that someone is there who is not trying to take advantage of
us." DT
"Many thanks for the
amazingly speedy shipment, safely received today. I am very impressed.
Can't get better customer service than that!" GW
