Usage

Rulid (Roxithromycin) is a prescription medication used to treat bacterial infections affecting a different part of the body, such as acute pharyngitis (sore throat and painful swallowing), acute bronchitis (infection of the bronchi causing coughing), pneumonia, skin and soft tissue infections, and non-gonococcal urethritis. The active ingredient in Rulid in Roxithromycin. Roxithromycin belongs to the class of medication called macrolides. It kills and stops the growth of bacteria responsible for the infection. Your doctor may prescribe Rulid for bacterial infection not mentioned in this guide. However, Roxithromycin is not effective against infections caused by viruses.
