Usage

Silkis Ointment (Calcitriol) is a white ointment used to treat mild to moderately severe plaque type of psoriasis covering up to one-third of the body surface. It is a condition where scaling and thickening of the skin develop due to excessive skin cell production, especially on the elbows and knees, the scalp, and the lower back. The active ingredient in Silkis ointment is Calcitriol. Calcitriol belongs to the class of medication called Vitamin D analog. It works by helping to stop the production of extra skin cells that may build up and form scales on the skin and by decreasing the activity of immune cells in the skin. Silkis ointment is similar to vitamin D, which is a vitamin essential for healthy skin.
