Chemical Name: Dimenhydrinate
|
Gravol Information: Gravol (Dimenhydrinate) is used to prevent and treat nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and motion sickness. It is recommended that the first dose should be taken approximately half hour before starting any activity. Adults should not exceed more than 8 tablets in 24 hours or as directed by your doctor. Children from the age of 6-12 years should not exceed more than 3 tablets in 24 hours, and children under 6 years should not exceed more than 1 tablet in 24 hours.
Gravol Side Effects: Side effects that are likely to occur, but are not serious are drowsiness or dizziness, restlessness, excitation, nervousness, insomnia, and blurred vision. Other side effects which are likely are dry mouth, nose, or throat, decreased appetite, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea and an irregular or fast heartbeat. If these continue or are bothersome, and if you experience an allergic reaction stop taking Gravol (Dimenhydrinate) and consult your doctor.
