Usage

Clindoxyl Gel (Clindamycin/Benzoyl Peroxide) is a topical combination agent used to treat moderate acne vulgaris (pimples) characterized by comedones, papules and pustules. The active ingredients in Clindoxyl Gel are Clindamycin and Benzoyl Peroxide. Clindamycin belongs to the class of drugs called antibiotics. It prevents the bacteria that cause acne from growing, multiplying and increasing in numbers. Benzoyl peroxide is a keratolytic agent that breaks down a protein known as keratin (that forms part of skin structure) and removes dead skin cells, and softens skin.

Side Effects and Precautions

The common side effects of Clindoxyl Gel are dry skin, a burning sensation at the application site, itching, skin redness and peeling.

• Contact dermatitis;
