Retin A Information: Retin-A Micro (tretinoin gel) microsphere is indicated for topical application in the treatment of acne vulgaris. The safety and efficacy of the use of this product in the treatment of other disorders have not been established.
Retin-A Micro Gel (tretinoin gel) microsphere, 0.1%, 0.025% and 0.01%, is a formulation containing
0.1% or 0.01% or 0.025%, by weight, tretinoin for topical treatment of acne vulgaris. This formulation
uses patented methyl methacrylate/glycol dimethacrylate crosspolymer porous microspheres
(MICROSPONGE® System) to enable inclusion of the active ingredient, tretinoin, in an aqueous
gel. Other components of this formulation are purified water, carbomer 974P (0.025% formulation),
carbomer 934P (0.1% formulation), glycerin, disodium EDTA, propylene glycol, sorbic acid,
PPG-20 methyl glucose ether distearate, cyclomethicone and dimethicone copolyol, benzyl
alcohol, trolamine, and butylated hydroxytoluene.

Wash your hands before applying this medication. Gently clean the affected skin with a mild or soapless cleanser and pat dry. Use your fingertips to apply a small amount of medication (about the size of a pea) in a thin layer, usually once daily at bedtime or as directed by your doctor. A gauze pad or cotton swab can be used to apply the liquid. For some preparations, you should wait 20-30 minutes after cleaning your face before applying this medication. Consult the label directions, the Patient Information Leaflet, or your pharmacist if you have any questions.
Use this medication on the skin only. Do not apply to the inner lip area or inside the nose/mouth. Do not apply to cut, scraped, sunburned, or eczema-affected skin.
